An honour for Pakistan. The Springer publishers in America have included the book titled “Ethnobotany of the Himalayas” authored by Prof. Dr Hassan Sher of the University of Swat in their textbook and reference nook collection. According to Springer, the copies of this book will be available in the market by 27th August. In his book, Dr Hassan Sher has presented a detailed discussion of the lifestyle and culture of the people living in the Hindukush Himalaya range, the relationship of the trees with the environment in the mountains, its impacts on the national economy and the satisfaction of living a life there. Dr Hassan Sher is from Swat. He earned a master’s degree in this subject in 1995, then an M.Phil., And a PhD in 2005. He was also the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Swat. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Swat. When contacted by Saywriters on regarding this news, he named the award after Pakistan and appealed to students across the country to continue their education and make their country proud.
