SWAT: Prime Minister’s special advisor on Youth Affairs Usman Dar has said that PM Imran Khan’s vision of green and clean Pakistan would be fulfilled by planting 10 billion trees in the country.
He was speaking in ceremony organized to celebrate the Independence Day at Malam Jaba ski resort on Friday. Assistant Commissioner Charbagh Hamid Khan, GM Malam Jabba ski resort Peer Waris Shah and dignitaries of the area were present at the occasion.
Mr Dar planted a tree to mark the independence day and hoisted the Pakistani flags. He said that PM Imran Khan resorted to put the country on the track of development for which he worked day and night.
“Despite multiple challenges PM Imran Khan has led the country towards right direction. It is his dream to make the country green and clean for which 10 billion trees will be planted which will help tackle the climate change issue in Pakistan,” he said.
He said that with the collective efforts of Swat forest department, ski resort administration and Pakistan Army 6000 saplings would be planted in Malam Jabba this year.
He said that PM Imran Khan believed in the strength of youth for the development of a country and that was why he was giving them great value. “Under the youth programme PM Imran Khan has allocated Rs1 billion.
He said that due to the successful policy of the PTI government to respond the Covid-19 pandemic, cases of coronavirus in the country were declining fast and economics were improving which was even acknowledged by WHO.
He said Pakistan came into being after unlimited sacrifices and urged the people to stand united for the progress and prosperity of the country.
“The coronavirus confined us inside our houses and snatched our freedom which made us realize the value and importance of freedom. Today with the grace of Allah we take breathe in our own county for which we have to work day and night,” he said.
