Swat(Saywriters )Youm e Shuhada was observed today the 4th of August. The “Police have sacrificed a lot in the line of duty and the martyrs are still alive in our hearts”, said Muhammad Ijaz Khan, the Regional Police Officer Malakand Division.The DPO Swat Qasim Ali khan presented flowers at the memorials of the Martyrs and the ever lively police brigade offered tribute. The police prayed for high ranks of martyrs and recitation of the Holy Quran was arranged at the Javed iqbal shaheed Police line Swat along with SP Lower Swat shah Hassan and SP Investigation nazir khan. Today is celebrated in order to pay tribute to those martyrs who have sacrificed a lot for the sake of our country and people and maintain peace in the region and no one can match their contribution. It is evident from the history that After 2007, the Police of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa have fought on the front lines like a force and made huge sacrifices to maintain peace in the region. We are very grateful to all of the martyrs and because of them we are able to live in peace. This province has been at war for the past 17 years and the police have fought everyday for the last 17 years and made sure that our people can live happily. Every officer and official has given his best shot be it a constable or an Inspector General. The DPO Swat Qasim Ali Khan distributed gift hampers among the children of the families of martyrs. A blood donation camp was arranged at the Javed iqbal shaheed Police line in order to pay tribute to the Martyrs and a huge number of Police officers and public participated in the donation.Every year the youm e Shuhada Police is observed with full swing. However, this year it was observed with precautions due to the advent of covid 19. Upon The directions of The District Police Office Swat the SDPOs and the SHOs visited the graves of the martyrs, presented flowers and prayed for their high ranks.In his message, the DPO Qasim Ali Khan said “the Police martyrs are our heroes. They have sacrificed their lives so that the public can live in peace. We will always remember them and we will not abandon their families”.
