Hard economic times often lead to the rising number of suicides. The loss of a job and fear of financial ruin can drive people to end their own life. Losing a job or even going into retirement can be an emotional jolt that can lead to suicide. Statistics show a third of all people who take their lives are unemployed.
For many people, suicide is the easy way out. Some people just can’t see any other way of coping. A lot of people don’t understand: the reality is that we reach an age in life where we are too tired to start over. What government can do with regard to this problem is to create more job opportunities for the people. Retirement benefits should be given to the people so that after retirement they can live in peace.
