Cottey concert pays tribute to Aretha Franklin, others | Lifestyles

NEVADA, Mo. — The Cottey College chamber singers will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Missouri Recital Hall inside the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts.

The concert’s theme is “R-E-S-P-E-C-T” and will pay tribute to Aretha Franklin and other women who have earned respect, including Malala Yousafzai, Hildegard von Bingen and the common woman. The chamber singers are under the direction of Theresa Spencer.

Admission is free and open to the public.
